After a long, tiring flight, there’s nothing like finding your Vancouver limousine chauffeur waiting to take your bags and whisk you away from all the hubbub of airport travel. But how exactly do you find your limo driver in all the chaos? That entirely depends on what flight you were on and which terminal you’ve arrived at.

Domestic Arrivals – Meeting Flights From Within Canada

When you arrive at Vancouver International Airport’s domestic terminal, you’ll encounter the baggage carousels surrounded by a low stone wall. This is where you’ll typically meet your driver – at your designated carousel. Most pre-arranged Vancouver airport limo chauffeurs will be displaying a placard with your name prominently displayed on it so you can quickly and easily identify your transportation.

Limo chauffeurs will typically offer to help you with your luggage and have a luggage cart handy for you.

International & US Arrivals – Meeting Flights From Outside Of Canada

Arriving at Vancouver International Airport’s international and US terminal is a little more involved than domestic arrivals due to customs. Passengers should expect at least a 30 to 45 minute wait to collect luggage and clear customs.

Once you’ve cleared customs, you’ll exit through a set of glass doors into the International Reception Lobby, or IRL. Most Vancouver airport limousine service providers possess IRL passes, which allow them to meet their guests directly in the International Reception Lobby. When proceeding through the IRL, simply be on the lookout for a chauffeur holding a placard bearing your party’s name.

Be sure to confirm your driver will meet you in the IRL when you call.

Alternatively, should the limo service provider not have IRL passes, you may be meeting your driver in the public reception area. Simply proceed through the second set of doors after the IRL and follow the walk way through to the public reception area. Your driver will likely be waiting at the end of the walkway with a placard displaying your party’s name unless other arrangements are made.

Other Helpful Tips When Arriving At Vancouver International Airport

Most limousine chauffeurs carry cell phones, or mobiles, this day and age. Be sure to provide a cell phone, or mobile, number of your own so you’re able to easily connect with your limo driver on your arrival.

Depending on the nature and length of your flight, you may find yourself hungry or thirsty upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport. While most limousine service providers keep their limousines stocked with water and glasses, few if any provide any food unless specifically requested. Should you feel the need to stop for food at one of several food courts in the airport, or en route to your destination, be sure to ask your driver if this will incur any travel time service fees.

Be sure to provide your limousine reservationist a good idea of the amount of luggage you will be arriving with. This will give the chauffeur a good idea of how many, if any, luggage carts you may require.
